ADE Series of Epoxy Inks; This epoxy ink
is used in the electronics, aerospace, automotive, appliance, screen
printing and decorative packing industries. Uses include the permanent
marking of semiconductor components, circuit boards, connectors, dials,
nameplates, panels, chassis, glass, and thermoplastics. The ADE screen
inks can be modified with thinners, retarders, flattening paste,
reducers, or clear bases.
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID) as a replacement for MIL-I-43553B and MIS-37271 by all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers a catalyzed epoxy system of marking inks for metallic or other non-porous surfaces and printed wiring boards. 2. CLASSIFICATION. 2.1 Type. The marking ink and color shall be of the following types and colors, as specified: Type I - General usage. Type II - Non-Conductive. Type III- Outside exposure.

With the ADE series of quart cans, the two part catalyst is sold separately.
Mixing Ink With Catalyst: Add 1 part catalyst to 6 parts ink by weight.
