Unlike other presumptive field bloodstain test kits, Hexagon OBTI distinguishes HUMAN blood from ANIMAL blood, and therefore eliminates the time involved in collecting non- relevant bloodstains and waiting weeks for laboratory results.
The testing of suspected human bloodstains at the crime scene using Hexagon OBTI is simple, straightforward, and takes 2 to 3 minutes. A sample of the questioned blood is transferred to the Hexagon OBTI reagent bottle, then two drops of the reagent are placed onto the test cassette. If the sample is human blood, two blue bars will appear in the test result window of the test cassette.
