Steel Stamps Machine Marking |
All of our steel stamps are made with carbon tool steel. They're tough enough to keep on stamping long after other stamps lose their face. We use a special heat treatment so they won't shatter under stress. Each steel stamp is manufactured to our high standards right here in the U.S.A.

It is not unusual to overestimate the size of character needed. A character is measured from cutting edge to cutting edge. Impression size will vary with the depth of penetration: |

STEEL TYPE HOLDERS |

Quick-change and lite-duty type holders are constructed from select shock tool steel and designed to give you years of precision marking. These holders feature a quick-release button for easy loading or removal of type.Each holder will accommodate Mercury Steel Type characters 1/32-inch thru' 5/16-inch high.
Available with a shepherd hook locking pin for easy loading or a machined retainer for permanent locking of steel marking type. Standard openings from 5/8-inch to 2-1/2 inch single and double line capacity.Special type holders for specific tooling and marking problems are also available. |
